About Revo Foods

The best food-tech startup you will see.

How it started...

Revo started in 2021 in a home kitchen with a big idea: create delicious, sustainable seafood alternatives using fermented fungi protein.

...VS. how it's going

Since then, things got pretty wild. We are now a team of 30 people, we've developed 14 future-forward products, and you can find us in supermarkets and shops across the world. We've grown beyond seafood into a broader mission: creating next-gen proteins that are better for people and the planet (but we are still having fun in the meantime)

WELCOME TO THE TAST FACTORY

In 2024, we opened The Taste Factory — our playground for food innovation and home to our patented technology.

What happens there?

We take fermented fungi and turn it into juicy, flaky, next-level protein. Thanks to our unique tech, we can integrate fat into protein layers that sizzle, melt, and taste just like real muscle meat.

Our impact so far

Together we rescued 23,487 salmon149 tuna18 octopus
Our products emit about 77-86% less CO2 than animal products
We use 95% less freshwater for production

Our Ingredients

We use selected ingredients that are sustainable and nutrient-rich

Mycoprotein

The fermented Superfood

The mycelium
  • a complete protein produced through fungi root fermentation
  • naturally rich in protein and fiber
  • a valuable source of essential vitamins and minerals, making it a nourishing and energizing food
The Fermentation
  • Mycoprotein is produced using an ancient food processing method that grows it from a starter culture and nutrients
  • During fermentation: Doubles in size every five hours, making it one of the most sustainable protein sources available
  • Afterward, it undergoes only minimal processing: Centrifugation and chilling
The final product
  • The naturally fibrous texture of mycoprotein allows for gentle processing at low temperatures, helping preserve valuable micronutrients
  • By adding delicate white fat stripes, we recreate the flaky, tender mouthfeel reminiscent of salmon

Vitamins

Microalgae Oil

A Rich Source of Omega-3

Omega 3

Algae oils are quickly gaining popularity as a health supplement due to their high levels of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.

Incorporating algae oils into your diet can have numerous health benefits. But while these Omega-3 acids are commonly found in fish and other seafood, they can be hard to find in a plant-based diet.

That’s where algal oils come in – by providing a plant-based source of these fatty acids, they make it easy for anyone to enjoy the benefits of omega-3s.

DHA & EPA

EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) are omega-3 fatty acids that have been shown to have numerous health benefits.

  • EPA is particularly beneficial for reducing inflammation in the body. Which can help to improve heart health and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as arthritis and diabetes.
  • DHA is important for brain function and development and can also help to reduce inflammation.
Taste

But what about your taste buds?

When used in plant-based fish alternatives, algae oils can help replicate the flavour of real fish, giving you all the satisfaction of a seafood dish without any environmental or ethical concerns.
